Dear Families,
My new granddaughter Samantha Lynn, arrived Wednesday, February 6 at 6:22 pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 4 oz and is 18 1/2 inches long. Mama and baby are both doing well.
Homework
Due to the two short weeks I am sending home 2 Homeschool Connections and a Kindergarten Fluency Packet. Keep the Fluency Packet, and return the Homeschool Connections and your child's binder on 2/22/13.
Valentine's Party
The Party will be on the 14th, a.m. class will be 9;00 and the p.m. class will be at 1:00. Please feel free to join us.
Money
I want to thank the parents that have sent in $3.00 to cover the cost of the Valentine's Party and the 100th Day Party. If you haven't sent in your child's $3.00 to cover the cost of both parties, please do so right away. Thanks for helping out on all of our Special Celebrations. They are really important to the kids.
Reading
This week we will review the letters F & O and the words is & play. Next week, I will introduce the words for and you and the letters h & d.
Social Studies
For the next 2 weeks I will share books about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.
Math
We will continue to learn how to count to 100 by ones and tens, write our numbers from one to twenty and start with addition facts.
Writing
I am sending home some of your child's writing. Please read the attached letter with your child's work.
