Happy Earth Day! This week will be a short week because of a Teacher's Work Day and a furlough day. Also, Thursday is Take your Child to Work Day. This is a wonderful experience if you can take your child to your workplace.
FIELD TRIP, Friday, May 10 from 8:15 - 1:30
Both sessions will attend all day. I need field trip forms and money in ASAP. $3.00 for kids and $5.00 for chaperones. You must have a background check if you haven't done that already. I still could use more chaperones. The zoo likes a 5:1 ratio, but it is safer if we have a 3:1 ratio. If finances are a concern we do have scholarships, just let me know.
Homework
I am not sending home any homework this week. Our theme for the next two weeks is Insects. The letters for Unit 10 are G,V,X and the words she, he, look, has.
Mark your calendar for evening of Friday, May 31 for the Celebration of Learning. I will send you more details as I get them. It should be an exciting evening of celebrating students at View Acres.
