Dear Families,
I can't believe how rapidly we are approaching the end of the school year. The kids are doing an amazing job this year of learning. You will have two opportunities to see this for yourself on May 31st and June 10th for P.M Kindergartners and June 11th for A.M Kindergartners.
Celebration of Learning
This new event for View Acres is on Friday, May 31 from 6:00 - 7:30pm. Please mark your calendars to attend this event. You will be able to see and celebrate your own child's work, plus see what the other grades are doing.
Field Day
Field Day is on Friday, June 7th. Kindergarten's time is at 8:00 a.m. All kindergartners come for the A.M. session. We eat lunch here at school that day. Paperwork will be coming home son. I receive paperwork from the office, so I am not sure if it will be this week or next week.
We also need volunteers to man the stations, so mark your calendar for this fun day.
End-of-the-Year Celebration
Also, mark your calendars for the End-of-the-Year Celebration. The kids will sing, receive and achievement award and you can view the growth that they have made in kindergarten this year. The P.M. class celebration will be on Monday, June 10 from 1:00 to 1:50 and the A.M. class celebration will be on Tuesday, June 11 from 9:00 to 10:00.
Reading
We will be learning the words with, my, me, where and the letters j, q, x, y the last three weeks of school.
Math
We are working on story problems, addition, subtraction and counting to 100.
