If you have not send your pledges in for the Jog-A-Thon, please do that by tommorrow. They are due today.
Book Orders
Book orders are due next Monday on October 14. Please send in either the exact change or a check made out to Scholastic Books. This is a good way to update your child's library without spending a lot of money.
Homework
Home-school connections are due this week on Thursday. The calendar and reading log are due on 10/30. Please keep their purple homework folder in their backpacks.
Clothes
I want to thank those of you that have taken the time and label your child's belongings. It makes it easier to return misplaced items if they are labeled. Also, please keep a change of clothes in your child's backpack. Thanks
Reading
This week we will work on the letter A and the word the. Please practice the sounds and letter recognition of the letters Aa, Mm. Also, practice writing and reading the words the, we, I, can. This week we will work on blending a & m to sound out the word am. I will be assessing on Friday, October 18.
Field Trip
The field trip is on Tuesday, October 29. Both sessions will attend the pumpkin patch together. If you want to chaperone, please make sure that your background check is completed. Some parents will be able to ride the bus with us, but I will need some parents to carpool. We are taking almost 80 kids to the pumpkin patch.
Math
We will continue to work on counting, making numerals, sorting and whole group addition.
